Summary
- Netmarble has addressed criticism of the RP system in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.
- In a future update, you should be able to get more RP daily, letting you experience more content.
- The devs are also adding more content that can be played without RP.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad launched in early access last month and was met with mixed reviews. The negative reviews mostly focus on the game's set-up and monetisation, feeling much like that of a mobile game - which is unsurprising, when it is also available on mobile as well as PC.
Now, developer Netmarble has explained what we can expect from future updates for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, and it seems that at least some of this feedback will be addressed. More specifically, we're getting changes to the RP, or recharge point, system, since this was halting progression.
Game Of Thrones: Kingsroad Devs Address Fan Feedback
"We closely reviewed player feedback and gameplay patterns from early access, and we identified several areas for improvement which we're currently working on," says Hyunil Jang, game director for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. "One of the biggest points was a shortage of RP. The original intent of the RP system was to help manage fatigue and ensure players could still earn meaningful rewards even with limited play time. However, many of you shared that the current RP supply felt too low, which made the overall experience less satisfying."
Jang continues, confirming that this will be addressed. "We completely understand this concern, and the team is actively discussing balance adjustments to increase the daily amount of RP provided."
This isn't the only change to RP. Devs are also looking into adding more activities for players to do once their RP runs out, so they're not left just waiting around with recharges. However, it certainly seems that it's here to stay, so anyone who wanted Kingsroad to completely abandon this very mobile gaming-like system is out of luck.

"I'm still working on it. I have periods where I make progress and then other things divert my attention."
As for what these new activities will include, Jang says they are working on "exploration challenges and co-op content." He adds that the updates will be with us "as soon as possible".
Elsewhere in the game, early access players will soon be given "additional rewards" to thank them for the feedback. It's unclear what these before, but so far, Founder's Pack players have been given new outfits.
Also, new story content is coming to Kingsroad. The latest location to be added will be the Stormlands, the seat of would-be king Stannis Baratheon. We're told that the story content will be much darker, as we dive into this very different area - and its very different religion to the rest of Westeros, since Stannis follows the Lord of Light.
